Green Shores® Training Opportunity 2024
The Pacific Salmon Foundation (PSF) is partnering with the Stewardship Centre for BC to deliver Green Shores® training free of charge for anyone interested in learning how to better apply nature based solutions along the shorelines of eastern and southern Vancouver Island. This unique opportunity is being funded through the Resilient Coasts for Salmon project that is intended to raise awareness about the design and benefits of nature based solutions while building capacity in communities to adapt to climate change and sea level rise.We would like to invite you to register for a Green Shores Level 1 training workshop:
- Green Shores Level 1 held in Comox on Monday, March 25, 2024, located within the traditional territory of the K'ómoks First Nation.
*Keep an eye on your inbox for more L1 and L2 offerings through the Resilient Coasts program!

Whether you are a coastal engineer, contractor, stewardship volunteer, member of local municipal or Indigenous government or a shoreline-conscious community member, Green Shores training will help you diversify your skills by building your knowledge of coastal processes and nature-based alternatives that will foster shoreline resilience, improved habitat, and enhanced aesthetics.

Resilient Coasts for Salmon is a collaborative initiative led by the Pacific Salmon Foundation with partners such as the Stewardship Centre for BC, World Wildlife Fund - Canada, Peninsula Streams Society and others. Resilient Coasts for Salmon is funded in part by the Government of Canada.
