Volunteers are needed for help with the installation of sandbag stabilization at the Marion Baker Fish Hatchery on French Creek in late June/July. The work involves the placing of bags weighing 90 pounds each in the creek below the hatchery building, on the streambed, at low water. This work is critical to the survival of the hatchery and volunteers capable of this work are badly needed! Greetings volunteers and LISTEN UP, I need a bit of your time here! Gun Show, Sunday 30 MayWe need lots of bodies all day to help with parking, ticket booth, getting contact information for tracing, assist (remind) customers of Covid requirements, answer questions...Please come to the meeting on Saturday, May 29, 1 pm, at the Pistol Range parking lot. Ling Cod - scientific name Ophiodon elongatus, is a member of the greenling family Hexagrammidae. It is both a desired commercial and sport fish species here on the west coast. We have reached a point where we feel that the range can safely be opened, with the attached guidelines in force. We will open on Sunday, March 28, at 10:00. There will be printed copies of the guidelines available at the sign-in table. Much discussion has gone on re the opening, including with the Vancouver Island Health Authority. Archery Openings
Opening will be September 14th. As in the past we will shoot on Monday and Wednesday. New is that there will be 2 separate and distinct shooting sessions for each night. The early session will be from 6:00 to 6:45. The later session will be from 7:10 until 8:00. Please note there will be limit numbers of shooters at each time (10) and slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis, pre booking is required…..no drop ins at this time, if you arrive without booking and there is no av
